Origin celebrated the Lunar New Year with the release of three remarkable coffees, sourced from across Asia.
To mark this event we created a packaging suite which tells the unique story of these coffees, collaborating with illustrator, Zhang Chi.
The Year of the Snake
"The markings on the snake’s body were inspired by Chinese calligraphy, created through free-flowing lines and dripping ink. My favourite part of the design is the eyes, which were inspired by the traditional Khon masks used in Thai dance. Ultimately, I combined these elements to create a snake that isn’t overly aggressive, but looks pretty cool." – Zhang Chi
The bag sleeves are digitally printed on Olin Colours. The boxed Qing Yé micro lot is elevated with a raised foil emboss. The artwork carries over onto the coveted tasting cards, to keep the collectors happy.
